But most game AI is actually quite "dumb", acting based on simple rules and relying on the players to perceive it as more intelligent than it is. Imagination plays a key role in the experience. However, with the recent advancements in Machine Learning technologies, and with hardware finally powerful enough, games are beginning to make use of advanced and complex AI, opening up a world of possibilities.
