At Satellogic we are building an open source project called Telluric. We use this project to do our own Geo-Spatial calculation. The main idea is to combine the following GIS libraries: GDAL, rasterio, fiona and shapely to create a easy to use and powerful interface to Geographically located Rasters and Vectors.
